The picture today

Hull currently has significantly slower trains than its southern counterparts. It takes longer to get from Hull to Liverpool by train that it does to travel from London to Paris, a journey twice the distance.

“Hull’s status as UK City of Culture, the significant investment from Siemens and the development of the world’s largest wind farm reflect the incredibly exciting era the city is now enjoying. Now it is time to secure the 21st century rail service a city of its stature deserves.”
